This is a meetup about meditation. And its effects on the mind. So talking about experiences, the science, meditation methods, tools. And supporting each other during a hard meditation time.
Why?
I thought it could be interesting as:
- It fits to the definition of a hacker according the Jargon File (Zen-Buddhism)
- It has effects on the brain
- Common mental problems seem to be positively affected
- Mind-Hacking anyone? I mean that is cool!
- Seems to improve concentration
Goals
- Making meditation measurable (EEG, Statistics, meditation journals, etc.)
- EEG-Biofeedback
- Meditating ;-)
- Evaluating different meditation methods
- Other non-meditation brain hacking methods
- Playing around with psychology/neurology (Models, conditioning, etc.)
