This is a meetup about meditation. And its effects on the mind. So talking about experiences, the science, meditation methods, tools. And supporting each other during a hard meditation time.

Why?

I thought it could be interesting as:

  1. It fits to the definition of a hacker according the Jargon File (Zen-Buddhism)
  2. It has effects on the brain
  3. Common mental problems seem to be positively affected
  4. Mind-Hacking anyone? I mean that is cool!
  5. Seems to improve concentration

Goals

  1. Making meditation measurable (EEG, Statistics, meditation journals, etc.)
  2. EEG-Biofeedback
  3. Meditating ;-)
  4. Evaluating different meditation methods
  5. Other non-meditation brain hacking methods
  6. Playing around with psychology/neurology (Models, conditioning, etc.)

Dates

  1. 29.06.2013 - 18:00 Talking about the science of it. General introduction. Talking.
