2023-05-23 Jour Fixe

Der Jour Fixe ist das für alle offene Metalab-Koordinationstreffen, das jeden 2. Mittwoch sowie jeden 4. Dienstag im Monat um 19:30 stattfindet (siehe dieser JF-Beschluss). Das Treffen ist offen, ad-hoc, hands-on und ergebnisorientiert - wenn beim Jour Fixe etwas angesprochen wird, das sofort umgesetzt werden kann, wird es auch sofort oder gleich nach dem Jour Fixe umgesetzt! (Das nennen wir dann Do-Fixe)

Übliche Programmpunkte bei einem Jour Fixe: Laufende Entwicklungen, geplante Projekte, Veranstaltungen, Probleme, Lösungen, organisatorische Themen, Neuigkeiten, etc. ....; Fester Programmpunkt bei jedem Jour Fixe: Durchschauen der aktuellen Tickets im Issue Tracker und durchführen allfälliger Wartung!

In diesem Sinne: Kein Metalab ohne helfende Hände! - Kommt vorbei, tauscht euch aus, und macht euch die Hände schmutzig :)

Damit alle, die den Jour Fixe verpassen auch am aktuellen Stand bleiben, dokumentieren wir den Jour Fixe. Wenn du also einen Programmpunkt für diesen Jour Fixe hast, trag ihn bis drei Tage vor dem JF (Samstag falls JF am Dienstag, Sonntag falls JF am Mittwoch) ein. Wie hier beschlossen, werden danach eingetragene Themen nicht behandelt.

Das Metalab oder hybrid im Big Blue Button
Das Big Blue Button wird um 19:30 kontrolliert. Wenn um diese Zeit jemand online ist, so findet das JF im Hybrid-Modus statt, sonst nur lokal. Das hybride JF beginnt sobald das Audio-Setup aufgebaut wurde.

I'm cataloguing the Bauteilsortiment at the moment and just wanted to briefly present this and get feedback on my plans.

Themen

Aschenbecher / Mistkübel (becca)

Der Aschenbecher steht jetzt nicht mehr direkt neben der Tür, hurra! Leider sind damit nicht alle Probleme gelöst. Die letzten Wochen ist es wiederholt vorgekommen, dass bei offenem Fenster der Rauch hineinzieht. Ich bin dagegen. Können wir den Aschenbecher/Mistkübel einfach weggeben? Vorschlag: weg damit, Leute können woanders rauchen.

Decluttering (nomike)

In the north-western corner of the otter space is an unlabled plsatic box, containing cables and other random stuff. And there are many more places in the lab looking like that. I would like to know whether it's OK to just sort through boxes like that, stpre some of the parts somewhere if there is space for it and get rid of the rest (Mistplatz, take things home, etc.). Do we need to lable a box like this first (like MA48 "Your bike will be removed at time_t 1700481104") (which maybe boils down to the question of who owns this. The person who put it there? The metalab (== all of us)? How much is this covered by do-ocracy?

Becca: I would say merging stuff can always be done. When you want to throw stuff out, I would suggest a quick announcement on matrix and/or the members mailinglist. Usually people will react quickly if its something important (within 48h). Also putting a label on the thing covers pretty much all bases. I encourage everyone wanting to tidy up, so we should try to keep it simple.

Fleamarket (nomike)

As a consequence of the decluttering, we probablhy end up with a bunch of things which might sill be usable for someone, but just takes up too much space in the lab. For example we have a large number of oscilloscopes in the WEL and even though it's good to keep spares, we hardly ever will need the 5+ we have. How about organizing a flea market and selling of some of this stuff. It might bring new people to the lab and bring in coin we can spend on cool stuff.

Tickets und Wartung:

Nach dem Jour Fixe sollten die aktuellen Tickets am Kanban sowie anfallende Wartungsarbeiten angesehen werden. Wenn du dich in der Lage fühlst einen der offenen Punkte abzuarbeiten wäre es fein, wenn du dies auch machst, ansonsten finde die Person, die den offenen Punkt abarbeiten kann und die nötige Kapazität dafür hat.
