DISCRIMINATION is the unfair treatment of a person, sex, racial group, minority, etc., i.e. action based on prejudice.

There are safe spaces like the women and trans only hackerspace Miss Baltazar's laboratory[0] and these at times provide an environment that is only accessible to underrepresented groups such as woman. That is a good and valid thing since it helps to open our community to people that might otherwise never find access to it.
