We have a mediation team at Metalab called Anlaufstelle.If you are experiencing difficulties with the space or with other individuals, and are unable or unwilling to resolve these issues on your own, you may contact our mediators:

In case you have any problems with the hackspace or people at the hackspace, that you can't or don't want to sort out on your own, you can turn to our mediators:
* Andreas Czák - also called "Sonsti" or "Sonstwer" (he/him)
* eest9 (they/them)
* Juli (she/her)
* Elschi (she/her)

* Elschi
You can contact the individual persons personally or reach us collectively at anlaufstelle@metalab.at. The address is purely a forwarding address – all emails go directly to the persons mentioned above. There is no mailing list and no archive on the Metalab server.
* Juli
* Andreas Czák / "Sonstwer"

Two members (Sonstwer, eest9) are often on site, two (Juli, Elschi) less frequently. This can be helpful when a more neutral outside perspective is needed. Please note: All members of the Anlaufstelle also visit Metalab privately.

You can contact a single mediator individually or all of them collectively at anlaufstelle@metalab.at. E-Mails sent to this address will be forwarded to all of those people, they will not be stored on any metalab servers.
Please read our Code of Conduct.

ÖGS – Austrian Sign Language
eest9 has sufficient knowledge of ÖGS and can also be a contact person for deaf people. Sonstwer is still learning ÖGS and does not yet know many words. If necessary, an interpreter can be called in – however, this requires advance notice and cost approval.

Please read our Code of Conduct.

Emergency assistance for deaf and hearing-impaired persons
For people in a difficult life situation or crisis, a confidential conversation with competent contact persons is possible, around the clock, even on holidays.
Deaf and hearing-impaired individuals can use the DEC112 smartphone app to contact the police (112 and 133), fire brigade (122), ambulance service (144) and mountain rescue service (140) via a text-based emergency call (DEC112). If, in the event of acute danger (domestic violence), it is not possible to make a voice or text-based emergency call, a so-called silent emergency call can be sent to the police via the DEC112 app. To do this, the exact address must be stored in the app or entered in the chat. Regardless of this, it is still possible to use the police's deaf service by calling 0800 133 133.
(Can also be done via chat or e-mail at telefonseelsorge.at).
