Intro

Git is a version control system. It's more powerful than svn and quite confusing (for starters).

Git Installation

Linux

   sudo apt-get install git

UI (there are several possibilities)

   sudo apt-get install git-cola gitk

OS X

git stash # stacks away
git stash apply # gets stash back
