The time has advanced and meanwhile most videos are stored on HDDs in an homeserver instead of handling around with DVDs or BlueRays. For this reason the Videos need to be ripped/converted on a hard disc. This is a open lecture where several people will share their experience with ffmpeg aka avconv, Mplayer, handbrake and other video editing tools with you.
