The time has advanced and meanwhile most videos are stored on HDDs in a homeserver instead of handling around with DVDs or BlueRays. For this reason the videos need to be ripped/converted on a hard disc. This is a open lecture where several people will share their experience with <code>ffmpeg</code> aka <code>avconv</code>, <code>Mplayer</code>, <code>handbrake</code> and <code>other video editing tools</code> with you.
