The event will be divided into three parts:
We are going to repeat the game mechanics and try to overcome some challenges.


Part 1, 16h00: Redcode for Beginners
- Introduction to the basics of Redcode
(Seasoned programmers do not need to attend this)


Part 2, starting around 17h00: Common Fighting Strategies
Software:
- Quick summary of Redcode for experts
pMARS (this program de-facto defines the standard for Redcode/Corewar)
- Presentation of existing strategies (Warrior types; e.g. Paper, Vampire, Scanner)

Part 3: Playing the Game
ARES (compatible, luxurious IDE, runs under Windows and in Wine)
- Coding some simple Warriors

In May there will be an international Corewar tournament, we could create a Warrior together.
