In the north-western corner of the otter space is an unlabled plsatic box, containing cables and other random stuff. And there are many more places in the lab looking like that. I would like to know whether it's OK to just sort through boxes like that, stpre some of the parts somewhere if there is space for it and get rid of the rest (Mistplatz, take things home, etc.). Do we need to lable a box like this first (like MA48 "Your bike will be removed at time_t 1700481104") (which maybe boils down to the question of who owns this. The person who put it there? The metalab (== all of us)? How much is this covered by do-ocracy? | |||

As a consequence of the decluttering, we probablhy end up with a bunch of things which might sill be usable for someone, but just takes up too much space in the lab. For example we have a large number of oscilloscopes in the WEL and even though it's good to keep spares, we hardly ever will need the 5+ we have. How about organizing a flea market and selling of some of this stuff. It might bring new people to the lab and bring in coin we can spend on cool stuff. | |||
