<b>What:</b> How to use our laser cutter.
<b>When:</b> Whenever [[User:amir|amir]], [[User:hetti|hetti]] or another laser admin feels like doing one :)


The workshops consist of two parts:
After you've completed the workshop, one of the [https://metalab.at/wiki/Lazzzor#Willst_du_etwas_lasern.3F laser admins] may give you approval to do laser cutter jobs on your own. Please be patient, it may take a few guided cutting jobs till you get approval.
* The first part is designated to a special topic/technique/material which we will explore.
* After that it's "Open Lazzzor" time, which means you can bring your laser cutter jobs and we will do them together.


It doesn't matter if you just wanna do a simple engraving on a wood panel or if you're planning to do big or complicated jobs. There's always something to learn.

We're are going to use the [[Ctrl-Cut]] software which was written at the Metalab!

Consumer products made out of a variety/compound materials are often tricky to engrave. especially because you're at the chance of ruining it - unless you know how to test you're materials and tune settings for a nice engraving.
