The basic idea is to build an open source vending machine from scrap parts as cheap as possible with as little tools as possible.

The coin sorting is done mechanically, basically by measuring the coins size. The third version of the coin sorting prototype is at Metalab in the box "HausverBot", made of transparent plexiglas. Feel free to use and abuse it.
