The basic idea is to build an open source vending machine from scrap parts as cheap as possible with as little tools as possible.

Total costs should be less then €50, only basic tools should be required(think a hundred years ago).

==Coin sorting mechanism==
The coin sorting is done mechanically, basically by measuring the coins size. The third version of the coin sorting prototype is currently at Metalab, made of transparent acryllic. Feel free to use and abuse it.

The basic idea is to build an open source vending machine from scrap parts as cheap as possible with as little tools as possible. Total costs should be less then €25, only basic tools should be required(ideally no electric tools at all).
