WTF?
Workgear should be a concept of an symbiotic machine-human wearable programming equiptment.
The idea is to enable a programmer to program in a lot more situations than just sitting in front of a computer.
One scenario would be, that a programmer programs on a calm walk in the park, as walks are normally the situations where good ideas arise.
Maybe running, I can't imagine that anybody would want to code, while he is running, but atleast the system should be robust enough, that it doesn't fall apart while the wearer is running.
Then it needs to be light and fluently to use.
Steps
- "Ebony & Ivory" (named after handguns), should be a two hand accordic keyboard, which uses the [1] keyboard layout. Each handpart has 6 keys, which enable it, to be used on their own. So that when one part got lost the wearer still can type. Both keyboards send their data to the "compositor", which generates the actual text, which is send to a computer.
- "Predator cam", a camera in combination with servo's, which projects the image of the "onboard" computer,
on any surface. This idea isn't that evolved yet. Maybe, some kind of projector in the wearers glasses would be also an idea.
- A beagle board as the "onboard computer"
